Silentground's Terms of Service

The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this web site ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts ("Content"). Content submitted express the views of their author only.

You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws.

All Content you submit or upload may be reviewed by staff members. All Content you submit or upload may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). Do not submit any Content that you consider to be private or confidential.

We reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content submitted for any reason without explanation. Requests for Content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion. We reserve the right to take action against any account with the Service at any time.

You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content.

These terms may be changed at any time without notice.

Silentground's Forum Rules

These forum rules apply to everybody without exception (that includes staff), all members should follow these rules unless explicitly told otherwise
by a member of the administration team. If you are in doubt about any of the rules then please feel free to ask in the Site Support section and
we will do our best to help you (anything of note will then be added to the main forum rules located below for all to see).

With that said...

General Forum Rules

These rules are some generic rules that apply to all areas of the forum, some sections may have
additional rules to follow via a sticky so please make sure to follow them.

  1. The official language of the forum is English please use this only in all areas of the forum (including the shoutbox and signatures).
  2. Maintain a high level of decorum while you are active on the forums, treat everybody with dignity and respect at all times!
    Trolls/bullies/flamers will not be tolerated!
  3. Try to stay on topic when posting in the various threads on the forum, posts/threads which go off topic will be moved/locked/deleted as needed.
  4. Before asking for help try searching and seeing if your problem has occurred already for another member,
    there is not much point in asking the same question twice.
  5. If/when a member of staff contacts you in a official capacity you are required to respond and heed whatever it is they have said.
  6. All external links must be coded using the CODE tags (#), internal links which pertain to Silentground are fine.
  7. No posting of other websites to send members to get items. If it is not here, start a thread and share the item in question.
  8. Discussion of religious and political views is strictly prohibited! Doing so may result in an immediate ban from the forums.
  9. Absolutely no SPAM or PHISHING! Offenders will be banned without question!
  10. Multiple user accounts are strictly prohibited as is sharing your user account with others!
  11. Do not mini-mod! If there is a problem in a thread then please report the post/thread and let the forums staff deal with it.
  12. Do not advertise any other site (even pretending it's the password to a file), please contact Admin for all matters regarding advertising.
  13. Asking for/selling of/give away for free of any file hosting account (e.g. Rapidgator) is strictly prohibited!
    If/when you are caught you will be banned without warning.

Forum Posting Rules

  1. The use of Automatic Posting Software is not allowed, nor is posting any software to do such. Proper Actions Will Be Taken!
  2. If you are in doubt where to post something then please ask a member of staff.
  3. Content for the V.I.P/ELITE sections must not be shared on other sites except for your own content.
  4. Link shorteners and container files (DLC) are strictly prohibited!
  5. Password protected archives must have the password clearly shown within the thread/post.
  6. Adult content (XXX) is to be posted in the V.I.P section only. Posting of child pornography/bestiality/etc
    will result in your IP address being banned along with you!
  7. Link lists are strictly prohibited except for within signatures.
  8. Do not post serial numbers in the post in any form, please include the serial as part of the download.
  9. Do not use special characters for thread titles, just include relevant information (e.g. application name and version number).
  10. Do NOT hotlink images. Please upload all your images to an image host such a imgur.com.
  11. If ReadNFO is in the title of a release, then the NFO MUST be included in your post.
  12. Direct links to a download should always be posted with the exception of safelinking.net.
    Safelinking.net is the only SG approved site to use to protect your links.
  13. Please refer to the stickies at the top of each download section for more specific posting rules.

Requesting Rules

  1. Requests must be made in the request areas of the forum, requests found elsewhere will be removed without prior warning.
  2. A maximum of 5 requests can be open per user at any time, this also includes multiple requests inside a single thread/post.
  3. Bumping of your requests is not allowed unless there has been no reply in the thread for a minimum of 2 weeks.
  4. Do not ask for mirrors in existing thread, ask in the appropriate request forum instead.
  5. Please don't request anything (Movie, Music. TV, ...etc.) that is either not yet released or only just released in the cinema.
    These will be on the site as soon as they are available...there is no need to request them.

Code of Conduct

A big part of what makes SG an awesome place that's like family for most, is RESPECT at ALL times by EVERYONE.
Respect is REQUIRED here. Complaints or rude comments ARE NOT to be posted in a thread or in the shoutbox WHATSOEVER!
We expect respect be given to any member and any staff at ALL times NO exceptions!

You think someone is disrespecting you, report the post or shout in question
or PM a staff member in regards.

If there is any type of posting in the shoutbox in regards to talking down of this board
We will ban anyone from the shoutbox for doing such.

If anyone disrespects this board anywhere, A infraction will be given or worse.
There is no reason for this at all. It is beyond disrespectful and
We will not tolerate it! You don't like the site then leave.

If anyone is caught replying to a PM by a staff member to follow the rules, fix something, ect.
and the reply is being disrespectful to the staff member... proper actions will be taken.

If you feel a staff member is being disrespectful to you contact a administrator
and do not reply back to what that staff member said.
